Stress Management
Stress Management is on hold until further notice.
This 4 session educational workshop is for those who want to learn practical techniques for managing stress. Participants will learn about the nature of stress, how it affects them, and the health benefits of stress management. They will be guided through techniques of relaxation, self-care and develop an awareness of how thought patterns can contribute to, or alleviate stress. Participants will learn to use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques to modulate their stress response.
The sessions are facilitated by a Social Worker and other professionals on the Kingston Family Health Team. Each session focuses on a specific aspect of stress and is 2 hours in length.

Stress Strategies – A Problem-solving Approach to Stress Management

Stress Strategies is an online program developed by the Psychology Foundation of Canada.

Stress Strategies looks at stress as a problem that can be solved, or at least improved, using practical problem-solving methods.

Stress Strategies will:

Show you and help you understand a variety of research-backed stress management strategies

Present stories that show real life examples of how people used these strategies to manage their stress more effectively

Guide you through a short series of problem-solving questions that will help you figure out how to make these strategies work in your life
