Breast Cancer Screening

Regular breast cancer screening can find cancer when it is small which means there is a better chance of treating the cancer successfully, it is less likely to spread, and there may be more treatment options. (Cancer Care Ontario)

If you are a female between the ages of 50 and 74 and have never had a mammogram, or need to book an appointment for a mammogram (recommended every 2 years), please call the Ontario Breast Screening Program at (613) 384-4284 to book an appointment.

Cervical Cancer Screening

Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable with regular screening, appropriate and timely follow-up of abnormal Pap test results and, recently, HPV immunization. (Cancer Care Ontario)

If you are between the ages of 21 and 69, are or have been sexually active, have not had a hysterectomy and have not had a pap test within the last 3 years, we can book one for you. Please contact your doctor's office if you have any questions or to book an appointment.

Colorectal Cancer Screening

A person with colorectal cancer has a 90% chance of being cured if the cancer is caught early enough through screening. (Cancer Care Ontario)

 

If you are between the ages of 50 and 74, please contact your doctor's office to have a screening package mailed to your home.

Cancer Care Ontario Screening Guidelines:

• Breast cancer screening - every 2 years

• Cervical cancer screening - every 3 years for patients between the ages of 21 and 69 (unless otherwise advised by your physician)

• Colorectal cancer screening - every 2 years
